eftpos new zealand publishes dates

Two weeks after reassuring eftpos merchants that they will not cut off eftpos without “first having given plenty of warning and every opportunity to upgrade.”, Eftpos New Zealand have issued a letter confirming the upgrade date of the 1st of January and now saying there will be a short grace period before “the process to retire non-compliant terminals commences.”

The issue is that some terminals that require an upgrade do not have the upgrade software available. This includes the Hypercom T7plus which requires an S9 pinpad which does not have certification. Also included in this category are the two types of terminal we have purchased from eftpos new zealand, the eklick NPT and the keycorp k23.

With the new security standard PCI PED soon to be released it is more important than ever to get good information. Give us a call if you have any questions 0800 484 238. We will keep our customers transacting through this period and if you need to upgrade then give us a call.

Competition Extension

Due to the letter just recently sent out by eftpos new zealand (which will be discussed shortly) we are extending our draw for the second trip for two to Rarotonga.  This will now be drawn on the 20th December 2007 to allow those people that need to upgrade a chance to get in the draw.
