Last Deployment date for 5.2 terminals

As an industry we (acquirers, influential merchants, terminal vendors and Paymark) have committed at a strategic level to replace the current 5.1 and 5.2 fleet in order to manage varying levels of customer experience driven by terminal software deficiencies. Some of these as we know are issues around -

- Card acceptance
- PIN Bypass

Expediting this initiative ahead of 2011 helps prepare for the Rugby World Cup such that the 90,000 overseas visitors we expect can enjoy a singular card acceptance experience.

Some nice customer feedback to brighten the day…

    taylor-coal

“Just thought I would let you know that the eftpos is working really well with approx 40%-50% of customers changing from cash to eftpos and the ones that still pay by cash saying they will do eftpos next time, yahoo!
Staff have come around too and have commented on how easy it is to use - you have no idea how much they were against it going in. It’s awesome and we hope to have 90% of transactions via eftpos by the end of winter.
Thank you to the team at Viaduct.”
