An announcement was made yesterday that New Zealand eftpos provider Provenco Cadmus has been placed into receivership. Michael Stiassny and Brendon Gibson of KordaMentha have been appointed as receivers.

The weight of a $45 million debt forced the company to ask ANZ National Bank to appoint receivers to the company, as it did not have sufficient funds to meet its working capital requirements.

ProvencoCadmus are still currently trading and all consumables and accessories are still available.

It is the company’s hope and expectation that the business can continue to be traded as the directors believe that the underlying trading business is fundamentally sound and capable of generating good returns in the future.
